Waste to Energy (WtE) Project in Lahore, Pakistan

Energy Department, Government of the Punjab (GoPb) accords priority to promotion and development of renewable power projects based on indigenous resources. Power projects using Waste to Energy (WtE) technology are amongst top priorities of Energy Department in view of their huge environment benefits and scientific disposal of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW). Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) manages collection and transportation of MSW in Lahore city. LWMC shall supply 2000 to 3000 tons of MSW/day for development of Lahore WtE project.

Energy Department, GoPb/Punjab Power Development Board (PPDB) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) for development of approximately 50MW WtE project at Lahore for dedicated sale of electricity to public bulk consumer(s) in Punjab. This invitation is open to all local and foreign companies/JV with experience in the relevant field. Interested companies are requested to submit their Statement of Qualification on the format provided in the Pre-Qualification Document (PQD).
